About OTMA

Cad é atá ann? | What is it?
A key part of this project is the creation of a digital archive that will preserve and make publicly accessible the songs, tunes, stories and memorabilia contributions.
Archival items are accessible on the website, either partially (where copyright applies) or in their entirety. All physical archive items can be viewed by appointment at OTMA. Listening and viewing facilities are available for use there, and assistance will be provided.
The copyright of material on this website remains with OTMA, or with the creator if so agreed. It can be used for non-commercial purposes but the creator and OTMA should be credited. For any proposal for commercial use, please contact OTMA to obtain details of the copyright holders for permission purposes.

Have you something to contribute?
If you have interesting documents, images and objects about music and music events in Oriel, we would love the chance to digitise these items to share on the OTMA website. We will never use your documents, images or objects without your consent, and you can tell us how it should be used.
We are also interested in collecting tunes, stories and memories about the local traditional/folk music scene and are happy to arrange audio or video recordings for interviews or music recordings. The project team are open to ideas and suggestions and willing to work with participants to include their items in the archive in any way that works best for them.
Digitised items and recorded content will become part of the OTMA digital archive where it will be preserved as a permanent resource for use in research, publications, education, lectures, broadcasting and the internet.

Get involved
If you have an interest and time to spare, contact OTMA and check how you could contribute to the archival work. You could help with recording, digitising, organising events, editing and cataloguing.
